If your body needs food to survive, your mind needs books to expand. There are so many reasons to put reading on your daily to-do list. It makes you a happy member of society, it helps you get a (better) job, teach new things, strengthen your mind and imagination. And so much more benefits.

If you don’t know where to start, you can start by reading the first book you see today. Whatever the book is about, just read it. When you develop your reading skills, you can then move on to a subject that you like.

Wither you are an avid or amateur reader. You will derive great pleasure from reading the following books:

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

The Hunger Games meets all the qualification that makes it an epic book. Very entertaining. The heroine in the novel is a great role model.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams

It is a deeply philosophical book, with an appropriate dosage of humor. It will open your mind to the answers of the universe.

Animal Farm by George Orwell

An excellent book that will provide you with meaningful insights about how the world operates. 1984 is another good book the same author. I read this one while interning at Credit Sage. We had a lot of downtime.

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

This is one of the most romantic books in our days. Doesn’t matter how old are you, it will be an enjoyable read.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

A fantastic book full of magical adventures, and strange creatures. It deals with deeper issues than what is appearing on the surface.

To Kill a Mockingbird

This one of the timeless classics, that you will want to reread. Climatic, emotional and profoundly sensational. And still relevant today.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë

A violent love story. If you would like to peek into the heart of human beings, this is where you start.

The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

You’ll enjoy the style, and the story. One of the greatest literature’s insights about the human nature.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

A genuinely emotional and passionate story about the power of love against life’s misfortunes

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass by Lewis Carroll

More than a children’s book. These two books challenge our perception of reality. Must read.

Lord of the Flies by William Golding

Written by a Nobel laureate, this is a story of a group of children stranded on an island; they reveal an offensive and macabre side to the nature of humanity.

Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

This story is about a man who is going through profound changes in the path of enlightenment and real peace.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

An engaging and captivating story with well-developed characters. One of the “classical” that you must read.

The list goes on and on, so to conclude, let’s introduce the final part:

Sacred Books of God

The Holy Bible, the Koran, and more religious and sacred texts you should also read those to understand life better.

You should make a commitment to read, anything, but read.
